Hello! This Bonus Sunday brings exciting news! I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award! For those of you staring at the screen in mute confusion (like I was a couple of days ago), the Liebster Award functions as a sort of chain award to recognise and promote little bloggers like me. I was nominated by Becca of Fighting Through The Haze which is all about beauty and lots of other things. Go and check her out- she demystifies makeup and you just feel like you’re having a chat reading her posts which is really nice!

The award works as follows:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you
  2. Provide a link back to their page
  3. Copy & Paste the award to your blog
  4. Answer the questions set by the person who nominated you
  5. Nominate 5 blogs with less than 500 followers
  6. Leave a comment on their blog to inform them of their nomination

Here are my answers to the questions I was set…

Where in the world would you love to live one day?

It’s not very exotic, but London is my favourite place in the world! There’s just so much stuff to see and do, and I’m in love with the underground- no more talking to grumpy bus drivers!

Who is your style icon?

That’s a tricky one! For style inspiration I usually hit Instagram, and my favourite person’s feed has got to be Emma of @archeravenue – think The Simpsons prints and some really awesome nail art

What is your favourite TV show?

At the moment I don’t have a TV so I watch everything on Netflix and iPlayer- my favourite at the moment is a toss-up between The Great British Bake-Off and Arrested Development

What is something that you have always wanted to try/do, but have not yet done?

I’m a veteran of the greenish dip-dye, but I’d really like to do ALL my hair that colour! I’m too scared that an all-over bleach would make me look like David Mitchell playing a villain though…

What song just makes you want to get up and dance?

Glamazon by RuPaul. Seriously, it make me feel on top of the world! I have some of the lyrics crocheted on my wall!

If you could meet a fictional character, who would it be and why?

It’s gotta be Harry Potter for me. I grew up with the books and films, so he’s conveniently always been the right age for me to be in love with him

What item of clothing in your wardrobe do you think you will most likely still be wearing in five years’ time?

That’s hard.. probably my red Topshop flares! I’ll still be wearing those when I’m ninety

What is your favourite flavour of ice cream/frozen yoghurt?

Ben & Jerry’s brought out a great new flavour over the summer, it was called Satisfy my Bowl, and it was banana ice cream with cookie swirls and chocolatey peace signs. Deeeeelicious!

What, in your opinion, is the best thing about Autumn?

In the UK at least, Autumn is great because it’s not too hot to wear a coat, but not too cold to have so sacrifice your style in favour of warmth! Plus it’s still light in the evenings. Good news all round really, it’s my favourite season!

What is your favourite film to watch with your friends?

100% The Room. If you haven’t seen it, watch it! It’s one of those films that’s so bad it’s good!

So my nominations are Tea is for Tina, Wild November, Fadila Henry, Beautitude and Stylize & Budgetize. They’re all fabulous blogs, so do go and give them a read!

My questions for you fabulous 5 are…

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. What one album could you listen to non-stop?
  3. What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
  4. Who was your first celebrity crush?
  5. What song is the soundtrack to your life?
  6. How would you describe your style in 3 words?
  7. Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?
  8. What is your all-time favourite book?
  9. What would your superpower be?
  10. Will you be dressing up this Halloween, and if so what are you going as?

On another note, you may have noticed my blog theme has changed! Let me know what you think in the comments! There are more exciting changes on the way too!

  1. Thanks so much for the nomination!! Can’t wait to answer these questions, although now I’m having a debate in my head about horses and ducks!
You summed up Autumn perfectly! I’m going to have to check out The Room too 🙂
Noticed the change of theme, it looks great! Xx
