The Topshop Archive collection launched today. It. Is. Beautiful. The idea behind the collection was to look back at Topshop’s past looks to create a new collection, vintage-inspired but for today’s customer.

There’s something great about owning a piece from a collection that seems so important, that Topshop seems so excited about. This isn’t just part of a new range, this is their history, and that makes it all the more special. Here are some of my favourite pieces from the collection…
Inspired by the 90’s rave scene, this jacket just oozes cool. What’s great about the whole collection is how unique each piece is. And there is nothing more unique than a huge fluffy jacket.
Now I realise that the jacket isn’t that wearable day-to-day, but this is. The floral print and quirky collar give the sixties vibe but matching patterned sets are already being worn everywhere, so it’s not too far a step out of your comfort zone. This is different enough to set you apart, but not in a bad way.
This retro jumper is what everyone goes to vintage shops for. It also goes perfectly with your favourite pair of jeans. You can wear it everywhere. Throw it on for cold summer nights (or if like me you don’t live in a country that participates in summer, wear it constantly), or save it for autumn and winter.
Now these trousers are my absolute favourite. Wear them with that retro jumper in autumn, wear them with a crop in summer. Just wear them. The seventies style belt sets these flares apart from any other pair this season. The colour, too, is magnificent. I reckon these will be the most wanted piece of the collection, so get in there quick!
I don’t usually get this excited by the launch of new collections, but this one is different. Today, wearing vintage clothing is almost a given. The problem is, it can take a lot of time to find the perfect item searching through charity shops and vintage shops, and even if you find something amazing, there’s no guarantee it’ll fit you. What Topshop has done is take the excitement and quirkiness of vintage styles, and presented them new and in every size. They’ve done all the hard work for you. That is my kind of collection!
